The Keller Williams brand is located just about everywhere. For our team specifically, our home is in Marysville, Washington. Located on the east of I-5, this small’ish city is the best place to stop between Vancouver, British Columbia and Seattle.
According to the Marysville Historical Society, John Stafford, Louis Thomas and Truman Ireland and Capt. William Renton, traders in timber, wanted to sell 1,280 acres in 1878, the land that became known later as the city of Marysville. $450 purchased the land where a store with living space was built along with a small dock and a plank road called Front Street. In 1879 a post office was opened and the first sawmill was also said to have opened in 1887.
Fast forward to 2018, the city has become the second largest entity in Snohomish County, behind Everett, ahead of Lynnwood, and growing at the fastest pace in the area. According to MarysvilleWA.Gov, the city currently has around 62,000 people and is growing!
The city’s skyline features views of Mount Pilchuck and the Cascade Mountains out to the east and the Olympic Mountains when you look to the west. Mount Pilchuck is most often seen on the city’s logo and flag and Marysville Pilchuck High School was named after the natural wonder.
