Seattle home prices continue to rise and the area has now tied San Francisco and Tampa for biggest increase between September and October according to the data released last month. The index measures the top 20 metro areas in the United States as well as nationally. 12 of the 20 metropolitan areas reported year-over-year gains. As far as our local area, Seattle posted prices that were 8.8 percent higher this October over October 2014.
In the Snohomish County area, we have been seeing and a huge decrease in inventory. The decrease in inventory, along with rising home prices make now one of the better times of the year to sell before the rising Fed interest rates swing the market. The Snohomish County real estate market stats have shown historically low inventory as of late and not much has changed since we analyzed the Sellers Market a few months ago.
