RESG would like to introduce you to our new program called “Featured Community”. Once a month we will be putting the spotlight on one of our local communities and share with you the benefits of real estate in these communities. This month we would like to feature Skykomish from the Stevens Pass area. There are a variety of homes and cabins in the Stevens Pass area to call home while you explore the breathtaking surroundings.
Skykomish is the gateway to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area and is known for year-round outdoor recreational opportunities. From skiing at Stevens Pass, to whitewater rafting on the Skykomish River, Skykomish has it all. Stevens Pass is a short 15 minute drive from Skykomish, making it an ideal location for us active Washingtonians. You can ski until you can no longer feel your toes, and then go out and do it again the next day!
As most of us Seattleites know, we do not have snow in the mountains all year round. Summertime brings a whole different array of activities to the Stevens Pass area. Skykomish has hundreds of trails nearby for hiking including Iron Goat Trail that follows the path of the original Great Northern Railway, Pacific Coast Trail and the hike to the scenic Bridal Veil Falls with Lake Serene at the top.
Skykomish is less than an hour and a half away from Seattle, so you can support your Seahawks at Century Link Field but still enjoy the serenity that comes with living in the Cascades. You will also feel a sense of serenity knowing that Skykomish’s unemployment rate is lower than the U.S average and jobs have increased by 2.64 percent.
