Bowling is back in style, and many local alleys are getting updated and renovated. A bowling alley is a reasonably priced place to appease everyone in your family. They have games for kids and adults, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and tasty finger-food. Not to mention a bowling alley is a fun, fairly-priced destination for kid or adult birthday parties.
Bowling alleys are also prime destinations for staff parties and other work-related functions. Snohomish County has quite a few bowling alleys that offer a little more of one thing than another. Here are our top four based on size, entertainment offered, and diversity of dining experience.
Lynnwood Bowl & Skate
This is one of the last classic bowl-and-skates you can find that date back to the 50’s. This place has that retro vibe with the same kind of aesthetic many remember from their youths. Lynnwood Bowl & Skate originally opened in 1956, but was renovated, updated, and combined with the skating rink in 2006.
The establishment still offers the same retro-feel with a modern touch. They also feature a cafe-restaurant and a full-bar with several pool tables in the arcade, and secluded bar area. Click here to look at their packages for birthday parties—they’re cheap!
Arena Sports Mill Creek
This facility is essentially brand-new. You won’t find hardly any bowling alleys that are this modern, and new. Arena Sports is known for being a choice destination for soccer, whether you’re young or old. They offer several different attractions at each of their locations, and the Mill Creek location is no different.
The dining experience at Arena Sports in Mill Creek is elevated by Moe’s Kitchen. This kitchen exclusively exists at the Mill Creek location and serves up a new-American fare. You can find made-from-scratch gourmet pizzas, burgers, and sweet desserts. They also serve up beer and wine for the adults while the kids enjoy a myriad of activities from soccer, to bowling, bounce houses, and laser-tag.
If you’re looking for more of a hip, new spot to bowl a few frames Bowlero is the spot. Formerly known as Brunswick Majestic Lanes, the place underwent a 2.4 million dollar renovation to become Bowlero. It has an all new look, and new games like beer pong and corn hole!
The owners of Bowlero bowling centers own over 300 facilities across the US, Canada, and Mexico, and are trying to inject a modern, and younger feel in to their spot in Lynnwood. Imagine all new everything (even the shoes,) and lots of black lights. Check out their specials here.
The classic bowling alley experience is delivered with no nonsense at Glacier Lanes. This alley has been family-owned and operated since its doors first opened. The Miller family has four generations of kin working this establishment at present. With quality lane maintenance and plenty of league play options, Glacier Lanes holds a legacy of bowling tradition within its doors.
The place also has a full bar and restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have packages for birthdays, private parties, and military parties. Glacier Lanes takes bowling seriously, while still keeping it fun for the whole family.
